The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra has earned an international reputation for excellence since 1902. This distinguished orchestra participates annually in the Nobel Prize ceremonies. Since 1926, the orchestra has been based in the Stockholm Concert Hall designed by Ivar Tengborn, who envisioned building a classical Greek temple set near the Polar Circle which would honor music.
