Route 67 is a neo-rocabilly band from Smolensk, Russia, continuing the tradition of Smolensk rock'n'roll scene of the 90's. 67 is the band's name refers to number plates of cars from Smolensk belonging to 67th region. The band was formed in 2007 by Андрей Шешеро (Andrey Sheshero - double bass, vocals), former member of the neo-rockabilly formation Wanted. He was joined by Владимир Катульский (Vladimir Katoolski - guitar, vocals) and Иван Гладкий (Ivan Gladki – drums, back-vocals). During the first year of their existence Route 67 participate in every notable musical event in Smolensk, including a gig together with Red Elvises. Jan 11 2008 the band playes at Winter ELVIS Day, in B-1 Maximum club - an event celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the king. Route 67 play regularly the Rock'n'Roll Pub in Moscow. The bands repertoire today includes classical rock'n'roll hits from the fifties: Rockabilly Boogie, Twenty Flight Rock, Matchbox, Beautiful Delilah, modern covers: Jack the Ripper, Walkin’ By Myself, My Baby, Goofin’Around as well as original material: Jumpin’and Pumpin’ At Night (Japan), Bo Diddley, Dance Man, Down the Line. Shortly, the band intends to commit to producing a debut album.
