Los Angeles-based ROSE ROSSI is all about being true to herself through her music. Her album "Hello to You" is inspired by musicians such as No Doubt, Blondie, Fiona Apple, The Beatles, even Elvis Presley, yet is unique with her touch. Creating soulful music that can be lilting and sweet…but with a distinctive edge. ROSE is not angry or bitter, and is not trying to change the world. What she is doing through her music is expressing the feelings and experiences that most people (not just women) experience as they travel through life. “While I definitely had something in mind when I wrote my songs, people can experience them any way they want,” ROSE explains. “I have always used music to better understand what I’m going through in my own life. It’s the bond between the artist and the people who enjoy their art; it’s a soul-to-soul connection.” Born and raised in Los Angeles, ROSE was brought up by very forward-thinking parents, both working actors. “I grew up in a household where it was okay to be creative,” ROSE says. “Creativity was viewed to be as valuable as academics. I was 11-years-old when I started writing songs. My mom basically forced me take piano from the age of seven, which I didn’t care for, so I made a deal with her and switched to guitar.” Additional piano studies later brought the good fortune of introducing ROSE to her future musical collaborator/producer Cliff Brodsky.
