Formed in 2004, Rosalita were a 5 band piece from Ipswich who made fun, quirky music. They opened the Channel 4 stage at V2007 after winning the 'Road To V' TV show and released their debut single 'Manga Girl' in Nov 2007. The band split in 2009 after which singer and frontman Kris Andrew & guitarist Richard Tyler went on to form Jackknife Horsebox (Country / Indie / Punk), bassist Jay Goodrich & drummer John Randall joined The B.Goodes (Indie / Pop / Rock n Roll) which John later left in early 2012, and Ben Groom (keys) embarked on a solo project as Benjamin Bloom ( Classical / Melodramatic Pop). ROSALITA REVIEWS: "Foot tapping and memorable in a pop-punk Rapture kind of way. With one or two sounding reminiscent of Adam Ant" - Virtualfestivals.com "They've got one odds-on hit in 'Manga Girl'." - NME "The Young Knives meet Joy Division in a new rave soup! Very Shit Disco like and maybe a slither of Calvin Harris disco fun. Bloody Brilliant!" - www.noizemakesenemies.co.uk "the poppiest, most festival-friendly indie-disco tunes that any demo has ever contained" [High Voltage] www.myspace.com/rosalitaband.
