Rodolfo Goyone, Jr., better known under his musical alias “RoRo Yone”, encapsulates the very meaning of what it means to be a true survivor. His unprecedented levels of determination, passion, enthusiasm, optimism, and perseverance flow through his music, with his truths reflecting his individuality in a world, saturated with cookie-cutter, manufactured pieces. RoRo’s music can be defined as an effortless blend of Pop, RnB, and Hip-Hop, with his new strain of sounds often being dubbed as Melodic Rap. Stylistically influenced by artists such as Nelly, Usher, and Chris Brown, he was born a natural performer, pouring his entire being what he says, allowing it to naturally manifest as the pure, unadulterated passion on stage. This process lets RoRo connect with his fans, letting them know that he is just like them. Born into a life of poverty in the Philippines, his earlier life experiences would be unimaginable for some. Coming from a broken home in a third-world country, RoRo’s family grew up extremely poor, bouncing around from different houses and spending most of his time in the streets. To detach from the grim reality surrounding him, he found music to be the perfect form of escapism. After witnessing his siblings putting food on the table by winning singing competitions, an inspired RoRo decided to follow in their footsteps.
