Israeli singer/songwriter Roman Spektor combines elements of industrial rock, experimental pop, and traces of hip hop to create a stunning sound full of dreams and secrets. As a producer, songwriter, and performer, he has complete creative control of his projects, allowing his individualism to thrive as he creates worlds of emotion in each track. From an early age, Roman had the perfect mix of technical proficiency and creativity. He was initially drawn to rap music, making beats on his computer before embarking on a career as an audio engineer in a recording studio. Being around music production every day allowed him to quickly acquire the skills that would later come to define his style. After developing his voice as a producer, Roman started to spend more time working on his own music, and set out to define himself as a uniquely individual artist. Using modern technology to blend organic and electronic instruments, he slowly began to bring his vision to life. After quietly releasing a few singles, Roman made his official debut in 2020 with the full length ‘Functionality.’ Its songs shift seamlessly from genre to genre, revealing hidden depths with every listen. With its introspective lyrics, unusual soundscapes, and undeniably catchy melodies, it is the perfect introduction to the adventurous artist’s world.
