Artist
Prior to forming the influential Zapp with his brothers, Dayton Ohio funkateer Roger Troutman fronted The Human Body and prior to that Little Roger and the Vels. Roger and the Human Body issued their first single "Freedom" circa 1976-77 which became a regional hit. Their recordings have since surfaced in LP issues with dubious origin. Shortly after that Troutman hooked up with George Clinton, played on the final Funkadelic album The Electric Spanking of War Babies, and soon established Zapp which released it's Bootsy Collins produced Warner Brothers debut in 1980.
