Artist
Neo-bard, neo-minstrel, neo-skald/scop, neo-rhapsode, neo-udgatar, neo-griot, neo-ashik. Direct-speech poet, who assault the public's ears from literature with pure voice, but with a hand on the auditive musical rhythm of the words, and the other on the dramatic expression to interpret his poems. In that way he stress the collective possibilities of oral literature, especially when performing at public shows: public squares, classrooms, parks, markets. Rodrigo Solís Arechavaleta was born in December 11 1970 at México City. He studied a year of electric engineering and a year of biomedical engineering. From those years he got a science fiction novel: "El andar del gato". A novel who is on the line to find a brave editor. He got writing skills at Escuela de Escritores, de la Sociedad General de Escritores de México (SOGEM), but over there he learned that there are some things that can not be taught. Since 1989 he has been performing widely over the República Mexicana. He has been working at national Mexican newspapers like El Nacional and magazines like Asimov y La Mandrágora. He worked at Editorial EJEA, writing comic scripts: Sensacional de artes marciales, Sensacional de mercados y Los sensacionales maestros, sus chalanas y demás chambitas.
