Rocket Punch (로켓펀치) was a South Korean girl group formed by Woollim Entertainment in 2019. The group originally consisted of six members: Kim Yeon-hee (김연희), Kim Su-yun (김수윤), Seo Yun-kyoung (서윤경), Kim So-hee (김소희), Jeong Da-hyun (정다현), and Juri Takahashi (高橋朱里). However, Juri departed from the group on May 24, 2024, following the expiration of her contract. Their group name signifies delivering a "fresh punch in a boring world" by "taking a punch at and changing your boring routine through our colours". The group's fandom is called "KETCHY" (켓치), a term derived from the second and fourth syllables in the Korean name 로켓펀치, meaning "attractive" or "charming." Prior to the formation of Rocket Punch, Juri had gained recognition as a 12th-generation trainee with AKB48 in Japan and participated in the 2018 Korean reality competition show Produce 48, alongside Suyun and Sohee, who were introduced as Woollim Entertainment's trainees. Juri officially joined Woollim Entertainment in March 2019 and graduated from AKB48 to debut with Rocket Punch. On July 22 2019, Woollim Entertainment revealed a motion clip with Rocket Punch's logo and speculated as the next girl group after Lovelyz. It was later confirmed with a concept film featuring all six members (Yeonhee, Juri, Suyun, Yunkyung, Sohee, and Dahyun) was released on July 23. Rocket Punch's debut EP Pink Punch was released on August 7, 2019, with "Bim Bam Bum" serving as its lead single. A debut showcase was held in Yes24 Live Hal
