Rockband Poppenkast is a 4 piece Dutch group of adult musicians, which plays for children in the age of 6 - 12 years. And for those of us who are still in contact with their inner-child! They play in the Netherlands and Belgium. The music is live-played, rockmusic, indicating that is music with an edge. The lyrics, which are in Dutch, are funny and often bizar. Occasinally there's a message. Their main goal is to introduce children to live (rock)music and to let them experience how it feels to participate in a (rock)concert and having a great time at a rockconcert! As far as is known to this moment, Rockband Poppenkast is the only musicgroup playing rockmusic for children in the Netherlands and Belgium. This makes it one of the most unique rockmusic acts for children, but also by their direct approach and contact with children they stand out. The have issued 5 cds up to now, wich are released on Professor Pop Records (Netherlands). Currently they are recording their next album, which is called Dooie Visch! (translates as: Dead Fish!) At this moment they are playing the show called "Leukst" (meaning "Funniest")in concerthalls, theaters and on festivals. On the way is the new show called: "Dooie Visch!" which can be seen from september 2007 till summer 2008.
