Hello! I am Robin Allender, a musician, comedian and podcaster from Bristol, now living in London. I have played guitar, bass and keyboards with Gravenhurst, Lucinda Chua, The Revival Hour, DM Stith, Old Fire, Landslide Purist and Azalea City. My own music has been played on BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music. In 2009, I joined the touring band of Yann Tiersen. Promoting Yann’s albums Dust Lane, Skyline and Infinity, I toured Europe, Russia, China, Australia, South America and the US. Foxes in the Foyer, a collection of instrumental songs, was released on vinyl by Scissor Tail Editions in 2014. I am also a stand-up comedian. In 2017 I was a finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny? competition at the Edinburgh Fringe and in 2019 I got to the heats of the BBC Introducing Radio 4 Comedy Award. I co-host the Moon Under Water and Your Own Personal Beatles podcasts, and recently presented The Clientele Podcast.
