Robert Weber, born in 1968 in Ames, Iowa, USA, is an avocational sing/songwriter, composer and arranger currently residing near Peoria, Illinois. Primarily a pianist/keyboardist, he also plays percussion and Yamaha WX-5 MIDI wind controller. He began writing music in 1998, praise songs for use in his church, Faith Christian Centre in Washington, IL. His first album grew out of his ministry as a piano player, and is solo piano arrangements of some of his songs and other popular praise songs. His songwriting culminated in the live recording of his original music in the sanctuary of FCC Labor Day weekend of 2005. That project, A Concert of Praise, features a band and choir of over twenty people. Currently in the works is another instrumental project, this one hearkening back to the sounds of early Mannheim Steamroller. It is a treatment of classic hymns of the faith. His music is strongly influenced by Rueben Morgan and Russell Fragar of Hillsongs, and popular Praise Leader Ron Kenoly.
