Artist
Robert Dick (born January 4, 1950) is an American flutist and composer specializing in new music and extended techniques. He was a member of the experimental woodwind trio New Winds with Ned Rothenberg and J. D. Parran. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.M. in composition from the Yale University School of Music, where he studied with Robert Morris, Jacob Druckman, and Bülent Arel. Dick lived in Switzerland for ten years, but now lives in New York City. He teaches at New York University. He has performed with Paul Giger, Steve Gorn, and Mark Dresser.
