Rob Harbron (born Robert Harbron) is an English multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, and one of the UK’s leading players of the English concertina. He is a member of English folk trio Leveret (alongside Sam Sweeney and Andy Cutting), with whom he has toured extensively and released a number of albums. As well as his solo work, he is known for his work as Tim van Eyken & Robert Harbron, as Robert Harbron & Emma Reid (subsequently Rob Harbron & Emma Reid), and as Kerr Fagan Harbron. He has also worked with Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings and The Full English, and composed, recorded and toured Sam Sweeney’s acclaimed Made in the Great War show. Harbron was Musical Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2013 production of The Winter’s Tale. He is known in the folk world as a composer of many fine tunes, and he has also written music for BBC Radio 3, the British Silent Film Festival, the English Folk Dance and Song Society and the Royal Geographical Society. He has produced recordings for a variety of artists including Methera, Fernhill, Three Cane Whale and Duotone.
