Imagine, if you will, that Ben Folds and Josh Ritter created a child and this child then was corrupted by his cool uncle Muse. The resulting specimen would undoubtedly be the "Riverbend Brothers". An entertainment package is the best way to describe this foursome of incredibly talented and fun musicians. Based in Lorain, Ohio the “Riverbend Brothers” create music that is distinctive and moving without losing the authenticity and truth of every word and note they create. Their incredible ability to improvise songs is partially accredited to the fact that they have been playing together since 2006. Drawing inspiration from blues, folk, rock and electronic music the band twists them to form a beautiful mongrel sound that is at times raging and raucous and at others soulful and heartbreaking. Songs of fear, love, loss, drinking and loneliness come to life through this four piece band of brothers. Currently in the studio working on their EP debut, the “Riverbend Brothers” are too talented and enthusiastic to be ignored. Members Justin Howell (lead vocals, piano), Kevin Hobson (guitar, vocals, trumpet, Berklee '08), Nick Sajka (bass, acoustic guitar, vocals), and Cory Cocco (drums, vocals) have a collective 41 years of music experience between them and the ability to play more than ten instruments.
