"Two and a half years, it’s been since I started creating music and living my dreams under the name Rival Summers. I started this when I was only fifteen, and it’s crazy to think how many places I’ve seen, how many people I’ve met, and how much I’ve grown as a person and a musician since then. If it werent for Rival Summers, I wouldn’t be who I am now. I would have no direction and many people the people that I have in my life wouldn’t be if I had never started any of this. It’s really crazy to think about. I’ve released three records. “Ready When You Are” is my first. The “Blankets & Sheets” EP is next, then “Days Like This”. All I ever really do is write about what’s going on in my life and it’s amazing what these songs have been able to do for me, but even more amazing what they’ve been able to do for so many others. Knowing that I’ve been able to touch people and make a difference in their lives with my songs is the reason I do what I do. I’ve toured around and played hundreds of shows, much of which in the Metro Detroit area, as well as West Michigan and the Midwest and East Coast of the United States. I hope to tour around the entire country as well as Canada and everywhere else I possibly can within the near future, but if not sooner, at least in my lifetime. I meet so many great people and see so many great things and places out on tour and I know it’s where I belong. I’ve been priviledge to be a part of the 2010 Warped Tour and I performed during the 2010 Take Act
