A Finnish lecturer in and performer on the kantele. A kantele (harppu in Sami) is a traditional plucked string instrument of the dulcimer and zither family native to Finland and Karelia. Recordings available internationally are few; her performance of Pari Intervallo, composed by Arvo Pärt, was recently included on a cover cd of Songlines.
