Ritchie Venus (real name Michael J. Brathwaite) is a singer/guitarist from Christchurch, New Zealand. He has been rocking 'n' rolling since 1967, and is also an Elvis impersonator. The bands he has fronted include Ritchie Venus & The Regime (appearing on the 'Move To Riot' New Zealand punk compilation) and Ritchie Venus & The Blue Beetles. Ritchie has also appeared in films, including 'The Ballad of Ritchie Venus' and the well-known New Zealand movie 'Snakeskin'.
