Ritchie Cordell (born Richard Joel Rosenblatt in Brooklyn, New York, on 10 March 1943; died 13 April 2004) was an American songwriter, singer and record producer remembered for writing and producing several hits for [/]Tommy James & The Shondells, including "I Think We're Alone Now" (later also recorded by Lene Lovich, Tiffany, and Girls Aloud) and "Mony Mony" (later also recorded by Billy Idol),. He co-produced Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' I Love Rock 'n' Roll and The Ramones' 1983 album Subterranean Jungle.
