Rinni was born and raised in medan on April 28, 1990. She loves to sing since she was a little girl. Coming from a family of musicians, it was very natural for her to be involved in music and singing. Her mother was a singer and her father was a bass player in a band, even her 2 older sisters and brother are in the music industry. She made appearances on stage when she was in elementary school. She used to sing for any kind of school's events, joined for singing contests in school. During her years in junior high school, she was a singer of a band and the drummer was her cousin. She also participated in several singing contests but never really win the contest. However, in high school she had the chance to audition for indonesian idol. Through the constant struggle and support from her family and friends, she finally won as a winner of indonesian idol 2007. The youngest participant to ever win the indonesian Idol at that time. She was only 17 years old. Through the success of being the winner of Indonesian Idol 2007, she released her first album "Aku Tetap Milikmu" in 2007 produced by Sony Music Indonesia. She has 2 singles from her first album, first single was "Aku Tetap Milikmu". It was her finale winner song in indonesian idol 2007. Second single was "Aku Bukan Boneka". She also had a compilation album with the idols from season 4, titled "Masterpiece". She sang "Jera" by Agnes Monica and all the idols sang "Bendera" by coklat.
