Riku Lätti is a South-African singer-songwriter. Though his music is hard to place in a certain genre it finds its basis in rock and pop. Alternating catchy, faster songs with relaxing ballads he also never fears trips to the worlds of rap, folk or reggae. In his home country, where he is regarded as the saviour of South African song in the battle against cheap schlagers, he has quite a reputation already, and he is building a career in both Belgium and the Netherlands. Autumn 2007 Lätti releases his debut-album for the European market, "Akoesties". This contains a collection of his favourite songs stripped down to intimate acoustic songs.
