She was born in 1974 to a Sudanese father and a Czech mother, has lived in Prague till the age of four, then she spent 10 years in Oran, the biggest harbour in Algeria. She is back in Prague since 1988. For several years she used to be a jazz singer. At the beginning of her studies at the Faculty of humanities of the Charles University, during an obligatory opening outdoor weekend she met Tomáš Dvořák/Floex. That coincidence was the beginning of a collaboration, first on the CD Pocustone, then on the live Floex band project. Since 2002 she is mostly creating music on her own. She has created the score for several theatre performances, in 2003 she presented her solo author project called Voicescape combining videoprojection and live music perfoming, that was awarded as the best new project on the Next wave awards 2005 (www.nextwave.cz) She is interested in the possibilities of a voice as a solo, non accompanied instrument and next to singing she also leads vocal workshops. In may 2006 her first solo CD called Hlasem (Voice) was released by the label Amplion - www.amp.cz .
