Artist
Rider Where The Trees Are Low is singer/songwriter Jan Thiede from Marburg, Germany. Although various theories have been proposed to unveil the origin of this alias it remains as strange as some of his songs. Their complicated names and structures reflect influences of progressive rock but the music itself is mostly straightforward - a gentle voice accompanied by acoustic guitars. Have you ever thought about the stories behind the faces on the bus? Have you ever seen trees with eyes in the forest? Did you ever stand hung over in an unknown kitchen, writing lyrics onto the refrigerator's door? Probably not, but he certainly did and tells you about it. Another recurring theme is an inspiring, self-chosen loneliness of the song's protagonist. On stage, Jan is supported by Sebastian Freitag (electric guitar/acoustic guitar/2nd voice) who sometimes adds a shot of iron to the delicate tunes. www.myspace.com/riderwherethetreesarelow User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
