Artist
Richie Loidl, born 1967, comes from Bad Ischl, in the Wolfgangsee area of the Salzkammergut region, Austria, where he became classical piano lessons from age 8 to 14, with very negative results. Primarily in 1986, at age 18, he learned to really play the piano, during a graduation summer course as bartender at the Hotel Schloss Seefels on the Woerthersee. This resulted in a great number or performances at home and abroad. His repertoire consists not only of moving boogie woogie and earthy blues, but of popular Broadway standards, discreet bar music, and the pop-songs that everyone likes to hear. The performances are conceived completely upon the theme of the venue, whereby Richie creates a good mood not only on piano, but on vocals as well. Besides concerts and international festivals, the venues include company events, private parties or performances in the bars of finer hotels. Since 1986, Richie Loidl has developed a mostly self-taught individual style, linked to the feedback from his audience. With the sensitive involvement of the complete periphery of the respective venue, such as architecture, decor, lighting, gastronomy, society, instrument, acoustics,
