Artist
Richard Dickson was an American R&B singer and performer of the 1960s from Vallejo, CA, United States. Dickson was primarily an R&B singer in the early 1960s. Some of his early R&B and soul cuts are 'You Broke My Heart' (Class Records, 1962) and 'I Don't Know What To Do' (Mayhem Records, 1967) , but he also released a song (notably 1969's 'Make Them Laugh, Clown') that can be described as wistful sunshine pop. After his 1960s recording career under his own name, Dickson became a long-standing member of soul/funk gigging outfit, John Turk & The 3rd St. Annex. Dickson passed away in 2010.
