Artist
Ribbons of Song is an intuitive ambient-/folk-electronica musician named Ben Scott-Brandt, who usually performs with friends as a larger ensemble. The current group is exploring "Poignant tearjerkers and glittery pop celebrations," i.e., folk-pop songs combining strong lyrical imagery and a mostly-acoustic instrumentation, supplemented by Juliana Stein's kooky, extensively sampled instruments and industrial-glitch processing. Contributing members have included Jes Kramer, Jessy Brenner (vocals), Sam Cook-Parrott (electric bass and vocals), Kolin Smith (guitar and vocals), Joleen Rumsey (organ and vocals), Tim Broderick (percussion and vocals), Sam Snedeker (AKA Jesse Stephanopoulos) (upright bass), Kaitlin D (vocals and tambourine), Josh Usadel (violin and vocals), and Chad Vickery (electric guitar and vocals).
