Artist
Post-Punk/Gothic Rock band based in London but with italian origines. This limitited musical project was born when some ex-members of the italian goth band 'Style Sindrome' decide to follow the invite of Steven Severin of the Banshees (known in an italian concert) for a 'London musical adventury'. At the arrive in London they know Chris Berry of the 'Future Records'. With him they will sign shortly for an EP. 'Time to Run', this is the title of this good album (Future Records 1983), will be played on the first channel of the BBC Radio also, during the famous program of John Peel. Unfortunately the sound is marked like a 'Banshees copy'. The voice of the singer, Anna Maria di Stefano, will be always marked like a copy of the most famous colleague. A true drama for a very good vocalist like her. On the contrary, the sound of the Rhythm and Faith is totally indipendent and able to produce a personal goth rock with really good ideas and with a voice truly gripping. After this Ep the Rhythm and Faith project ends, maybe too early. The members, disappointed by the bad judgements, leave the british capital. Only Anna Maria di Stefano and Stefano Curti will remain until the 1985, trying to promote an experimental duet (between electronic and industrial leanings).
