Not many bands get a second chance in the crazy business of music, but Virginia Beach’s REVERY is doing just that. Signed to EVO Records in 2005 and distributed worldwide thru Fontana/Universal and Red Eye distribution, the members of REVERY have been on quite a ride. Their single “Popstar Wedding” was in full rotation on over 50 commercial rock stations across the USA for most of 2006, and charted on the Media Base Active Rock Song Charts at #53 (which made them the 53rd most-played song at the time on active rock radio. . .out of approximately 700 songs). Additionally, they had national press in Metal Edge and other publications, and even an artist page at VH1.com. Criss-crossing the country, playing radio festivals and club gigs in 13 states honed the band’s live show and helped create a wide fanbase. Although that chapter has closed for the band, the members learned life lessons in the record biz, and have decided that above all, SONGS are King! Touring with Candlebox, and having a single reach #1 on KCAL in Riverside, Ca didn’t suck. But the band, now label-less, has turned their sites on writing and recording new music.
