Rest In Shit is a Detroit hardcore band that started in 2014. Formed by members of other Michigan acts such as Sunlight's Bane, Shudders, and Not Ok, RIS can be described as raw, dark, and noisy hardcore with lyrics driven by sociopolitical topics. The band's hardcore punk sound is greatly influenced by the metallic hardcore sound of the 90s as well as grind and powerviolence with a sound similar to acts such as Left For Dead, Chokehold, Haymaker, and Infest.
