Channelling Californian desert rock through the dark depths of the Bohemian woods and the gritty gambling parlours of Prague, REST IN HASTE combine the psychedelic and the mundane into muscular songs with danceable grooves, tight riffs and bittersweet melodies. Founded under a now-forgotten name in the mountains of the Bohemian Forest as an all-male cover band of all-female bands and having gained experience by playing to drunk ski resort visitors, the band moved to Prague in 2009. They took their name from the 1928 speculative fiction book by the inventor, social thinker and weird fiction writer Arlo J. Birchenback and augmented their sound by purchasing a custom-made theremin (replaced by a factory-made one after the near-electrocution of an audience member). In the summer of 2011, they are releasing their first collection titled “For The Common Good”, available for streaming on Bandcamp. / / / / / / / / / REST IN HASTE filtrují americký stoner rock skrz mocný šum českých pohraničních hvozdů a zaplivanou pražskou periferii. Začínali na Šumavě pod dnes již zapomenutým názvem coby chlapecký cover band dívčích punkových kapel hrající pro opilé lyžaře. Po období velkého ticha, během kterého zpěvák Electroslav působil na bostonské krautrockové scéně, se v roce 2010 přesunuli do Prahy-Holešovic a našli nového bubeníka Kubu, hrdého syna Krkonoš.
