Respect Your Mom is a Ukrainian alternative grunge band from Kiev, founded in 2008. The original lineup consisted of Sato (vocal oral machine, guitar), Arty (bass guitar), Tobi(drumms)and Yanek (guitar). The history of creation of this group is constructed on happy concurrences. All has begun with that instant when Sato (Masha Ivanova) has decided to create for the first time the group and to prove as the vocalist. As a result the group is created from four girls who converge on idea of promotion in weights of such musical style as grunge. Having rehearsed some months and having made some covers on Nirvana and Hole, the group breaks up owing to interpersonal conflicts. After a while Masha gets acquainted with Lillian (guitar), based the female command, and heavy alternative growing in circles. Girls decide to cooperate, and search of new participants. After a while Sato gets acquainted with future drummer Miko who pushes her to realization spontaneous, but decisive step. Thus, in one fine spring day instead of dear microphone the cheap electro guitar is bought. Literally in 15 minutes after purchase of a guitar there is a first rehearsal of group Drugstore and first song Trust me is born.
