There are at least five artists sharing the name Repeater: (1): Repeater is a five-piece indie rock band based in Long, Beach, California formed in 2005. The lineup consists of Steve Krolikowski (vocals, bass), Alex Forsythe (guitar), Rob Wallace (keyboards) and Matt Hanief (drums). The sound of Repeater is characterized by a mixture of aggressive yet tactful vocals, grande ethereal art rock guitars, pounding drums and electronic keyboards. Band is citing taking inspiration from bands such as The Chameleons, Mew, Joy Division, The Cure and New Order and best pieces off bands of the 80's and the 90's. In 2005 after the dissolution of The Main Frame, band members Rob Wallace and Steve Krolikowski formed Repeater with basic purpose having a special sound as a band, influenced from pre-90's bands. They eventually added new members into the fold, including Alex Forsythe and Matt Hanief. So their first steps was arranging the first live shows, building up their reputation to the present image of their live performances, which is high-energetic concerts with great ambiance. In 2005 their released their first demo Repeater. . With the passing of the time Repeater already had participated in many shows, actually over 130 shows including SXSW festival. In March 2007 they released their first extended play release Motionless Hour. In 2008 Repeater released their debut full length album Iron Flowers on Blackwing Records for the UK and Europe and their very own Document Records in Am
