SEAT’s Next DJ finalist Joey Jansen, better known as Renvo, looks back on a few exciting months. 7 years ago, he began dj’ing in the trance genre, and in the meantime he’s reached the finals of what might just be his big breakthrough. After many great gigs, amongst which the A State of Trance 500 event in Den Bosch, a completely different challenge awaited him: producing. Not an entirely new challenge, cause the 22 year old Dutchman has had several of his track released already. In the run up to the finals, he even came up with a special treat to his supporters, as they’re automatically in the running of winning a day producing with him in his studio if they vote for him. But that doesn’t mean there’s nothing left to learn. For the producer challenge, Renvo wanted nothing more than to collaborate with W&W. And that dream came true. Willem van Hanegem and Ward van der Harst have grown out from young talents to renowned artists, known for their very own sound, that lies between techno and trance. After tracks like ‘Mustang’, ‘Arena’, ‘Mainstage’, ‘Impact’ and remixes for Armin van Buuren, Sied van Riel, Little Boots and Aly & Fila, the boys are now ready to conquer the world with their debut album, set for release on Armada Music in September.
