Rene Breton is an experimental indie pop collaboration and artistic vision of Ryan Hurtgen and Tobin Sio, formed in East Nashville, Tennessee. Spearheaded by the writing and poetry of Hurtgen and the art direction of Sio, the group’s musical sensibilities encompass pop melodies in experimental arrangements textured with rich harmonies and climactic soundscapes. Rene Breton invites its audience to indulge in unique, yet familiar, melodic experiences within every waking moment. Debut release, Asleep In Green, is a composite, conceptual experience of insight and sound - twelve songs, twelve short stories and twelve drawings, meld to take us on a modern, surrealist journey, which represents the subconscious mind during sleep.
