RELIC RUST isn’t about some image or an attitude. It can be but that wouldn’t be real. For us it’s the passion of the song. The words, the voice, the style of music and how it reflects everyday life. We leave the images to you and how you want to play them out as you hear each song. Our website gives you some insight as to what we envisioned but the freedom is totally yours. For us, its more about singing along and less about being sung to. Our debut, Relic Cuts isn’t really lengthy. Frankly, it’s a compilation of singles. You’ll find a story about love, hope, loss and death. It’s a clip of stories about a woman and a man in eight different takes or songs if you prefer. Touching on a worn-out theme?…maybe…but isn’t this what its all about at some critical point in our lives. Relic Cuts is indie music at its fullest. Relic Cuts is purely garage made and working class paid. We did it all ourselves: writing, composing, playing, producing and paying. Romantics in overdrive but we hope you can relate to that. Even more so, we hope you like that. We try to offer you a good portion of each of our songs so you can listen to them and pass some judgment and maybe relate to what we’ve done. Why Relic Rust? Our sound is pop classic but pop contemporary. Relics are reminders of the past and rust, well rust sticks around forever.
