Corey Isiah Christie, better known by his stage name Reks is a Boston rapper. His albums Along Came The Chosen (2001, Landspeed Records), Rekless (2003), Grey Hairs (2008, Showoff Records), and More Grey Hairs (2009, Showoff Records) were released to general acclaim in the hip hop community. His debut featured hip hop musicians including Young Zee, Ed OG, J-Live and 7L while his third album featured DJ Premier, Large Professor, Skyzoo, Big Shug, Termanology, Krumbsnatcha and was mostly produced by Statik Selektah. His 2008 song, Say Goodnight was #3 on about.com's list of the top 100 rap songs of 2008. His 5th album is R.E.K.S., which stands for Rhythmatic Eternal King Supreme, and was released to critical acclaim on March 12, 2011. In 2012 Reks appeared on UK Hip Hop artist Ricta's debut album Snacks & Deception. Early career: Reks was a breakdancer in his teens and was part of a local B-boy crew called Funk Town Connection.[citation needed] By the time he entered college at University of Massachusetts Amherst, Reks had built a reputation for himself in the local Boston rap scene, and eventually quit school to begin recording for Brick Records. A few 12" singles, "I Could Have Done More" and "Fearless," arrived first in early 2001, before Brick issued his debut LP, Along Came the Chosen, later that year.
