Reed Rothchild is the assumed alias of Jess Stroup, a composer and multi-instrumentalist living in Los Angeles. Under the Reed Rothchild moniker, Jess creates electronic music that can appeal to the masses, while incorporating odd time signatures, live instruments, and electro-acoustic textures. The music is very cinematic in nature, conveying emotion and telling stories, while traversing a range of styles including electro, ambient, and breaks. Since 2002, Reed Rothchild has released two discs and appeared on one compilation on Nophi Recordings. Currently, RR performs around the LA area, with the Fateless Flows collective and on radio stations such as KUCI in Irvine. Jess Stroup also composes music for film, TV, commercials, and vocal artists.
