Reed Deming (born in Columbia, Maryland, on February 6, 1999) is an American singer-songwriter, artist, producer, guitarist, pianist, bassist and saxophonist. Raised in San Antonio, Texas, and singing since he was 4 years old (since 2003), Reed trained in Dallas, Texas at the Septien Entertainment Group where he performed with The Velocity Tour and studied in their Master's Program. In 2011, he won Best Overall Performance at the Septien Entertainment Master's Class competition at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas. Septien Entertainment, which has been featured on Nightline and billed as "the genius factory," is renown for launching such artists as Demi Lovato, Jessica Simpson, Ryan Cabrera, Nick Lachey and many others. In 2012, Reed was a contestant on the second season of The X Factor U.S.A. After participating in a live audition for celebrity judges Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato, and Britney Spears, he received four "yesses" and proceeded to the next round. He was one of only six teens of Spears' team and made it to the Top 24 of the competition. Earlier in the year, he starred in the music video for "Shut the Front Door (Too Young For This)" by Forever the Sickest Kids. In 2013, he released his first single, "Mercy on Me," followed by his first extended play, Ridiculous on July 26th. To promote the EP, he performed at Teen Hoot Fest, Pop City Tour, Pop Explosion Tour, Smash Fest, DigiFest Tour, Playlist Live and also opened for Aaron Carter and performed
