Raymond Fol (* April 9 1928 in Paris , † May 1 1979 ) was a French jazz - pianist and composer of the swing . Raymond Fol grew up in a musical family and was a student of Henri Challan , Marthe Morhange and Nadia Boulanger . He first played in 1945 in a traditional jazz formation with his brother Hubert Fol and trumpeter Boris Vian , and later with Django Reinhardt (1949-1951). He also worked with Chet Baker , Claude Abadie , Claude Leon , Pierre Michelot , Stéphane Grappelli , Kenny Clarke , James Moody , Roy Eldridge , Guy Lafitte and belonged to the orchestras of Aimé Barelli , Sidney Bechet and Claude Luter on.
