19701972 Also known as Ray Brown and Moonstone, this band formed in Sydney in 1970. They continued as a country rock act after Ray Brown's departure in October 1972. Moonstone are: JOHN CARR gitar, bass ALAN CARROLL drums MAL CLARKE gitar, bass, sitar PAT CLIFFORD bass JIMMY DOYLE gitar PAT JEFFREY drums RUSS HINTON gitar ELIGIO 'ALI' SINUC sitar NICK LYON violin and RAY BROWN vocals They released one record in 1971 called Mad House. They had one cut Start Of A New Day on the Group Therapy compilation in 1971. More recently you can find Story Of Ali on Electric Psychedelic Sitar Headswirlers, Vol. 1; whilst Start Of A New Day has resurfaced on both Electric Psychedelic Sitar Headswirlers, Vol. 3 and So You Want To Be A Rock 'n' Roll Star (3-CD).
