Hiphop group from The Bronx formed in 1993. Members: Alexander The Great, Marc Rippin', Nick Swift, DJ Solo Flxx and Sam Swing. They’ve released three studio albums: “Lune Tunz” (1993), "Killa Instinct" (1996), and “Blood, Sweat & Tears” (1997) In 1996, they were supposed to release their second album “Killa Instinct” yet the record company refused to release it due to the lyrics. The album was eventually released in 2017. Alongside Onyx, with whom Raw Breed are all too frequently compared, this Bronx, New York, USA troupe encapsulate the ‘Nastee nigga’ term which has been coined to address their sound. After a brief sojourn with Jam Master Jay of Run DMC, Raw Breed hooked up with Ice-T’s Rhyme Syndicate to launch their career. The band comprise Mark Rippin (cousin of Ultramagentic MC’s Kool Keith) and four others, and kicked off their career with the ‘Rabbit Stew’ 45, which complained about ‘all the wack MCs, and wack groups that came out in ‘93’.
