The two young singers came into public view as participants of a popular TV reality show Dangus (a Lithuanian version of the British Star Academy Show), and instantly won wide renown not only among the young audiences. For their debut album, Saulala raudona, the strong-sounding duo chose Lithuanian folk tunes arranged in various pop styles. The entire album and its title song Saulala raudona went on the air in many radio stations, making Rasa & Jonas the favourites at various public events and festivals. They also appear as solo singers: Jonas Čepulis' recording credits currently include one solo album Savas. Nesvetimas, while Rasa Bubulytė performs live at a variety of jazz, folk and world music projects. The duo is looking forward to recording a new album in 2007, presenting some new renditions of Lithuanian interwar songs.
