Ras Obi is professionally a Mental Health Nurse with a passion for music and this was where he met the legendary BB Seaton when he came to his ward at the hospital with a bout of meningitis. Obi was assigned to him as a nurse and it was ironic, as this was where it all started when BB realized that he wanted to get involved in the music business as a singer/songwriter. BB made him a promised that he would record a track with him in a couple of month when he recovered from his illness and so said so done as the first single “I Won’t Cry” was recorded and released in 2004. His second single release “Touch My Hand” was produced by BB Seaton & Marc Ismayl on the Shuttle Riddim which is available in a magazine JAMAICA SHINES EVERYWHERE VOLUME 2 which has a worldwide distribution. His third single release “Each & Every Day” which was released in Canada, produced by Chris Copeland which was taken from an album recorded with Stazz Productions to be released. His ambition is to heal with his voice. Ras Obi has dedicated his life to others through his nursing and is highly respected amongst his peers and patients, alike. He carries this genuine care of Humanity in his song writing and vocals...giving him instant credibility in the music industry and recognition with industry professionals and an audience that inspire to his vocals -on the live scene and through internet access of music. His dream is to touch the hearts of all alike -hence his song 'Touch My Hand" giving honour
