Randy, born James Randolph, Hostetler was an experimental composer born in Washington, D.C. on July 28, 1963. He died at the young age of 32 in 1996 presumed to be caused by an undiagnosed case of Addison’s Disease. In his short lifespan, Hostetler composed over fifty works.
