Ralf Rainer Hübner (* 3 May 1939 in Berlin) is a German jazz drummer and composer, who lives in Frankfurt/Main. In the sixties he played in the Albert Mangelsdorff quartet and quintet and and developed beside Klaus Weis and Joe Nay to one of the most important German jazz drummer. Subsequently, he played with Bob Degen, Heinz Sauer, Günter Lenz and Christof Lauer in the group Voices, as well as in the Manfred Schoof quintet. At present he frequently plays with Lauer, the pianist Vladislav Sendecki and Vitold Rek. Since 1961 he is member of the HR-Jazzensemble.
