Raised by Television is a three-piece industrial trip-hop band based in Portland, Oregon. Comprised of musicians Michael Miew, Maxwell Hunter and Sierra Stinson, Raised by Television’s live performances feature dual-bass and vocal harmonies with immersive reactive visualizers. After initially forming in 2005, the current incarnation of Raised By Television released three separate, self-produced collections in 2009 - Anachronism, Amphetamines and Electrons. Their most recent project, released in 2010, is Side L, an electro-pop love song mix, the first of four records in a series called The Love Record. Some of the group’s main musical influences are Portishead, Souxie and the Banshees, The Liars, Bauhaus and Daft Punk. With attention surrounding their exceptional house show performances, Raised by Television plans to produce new music, develop their performances and tour.
