Rainhorses were founded in 1991. in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Canada. They featured: Chris Belsito - Lead Vocals/ Guitar, Brian Oja - Lead Guitar Vocals, Glen Thomas - Drums/ Vocals and George Ravlich - Bass. (past members - Paul Blair/ bass, Mike Collins/ drums) Beetween 1993 and 1997 they released 2 full length albums and 2 tracks from a never released 3rd album. 1993- Rainhorses (self titled) 1995- August Mask 1997- Turbulence The single from their first album "When it's Gone" along with "Landover (Heisenbergs Dream), Wolf, Brave New Energy" off the August Mask CD and "Force of Habit, Greedy Little Mind" off the Turbulence album, got them recognition on college radio across Canada and in parts of of the U.S. They performed as opening act for other great Canadian bands and they played successful club shows on their own. They have had some of their songs used in independent film productions in Saskatchewan. Tragedy, along with other problems within the band ended the journey for Rainhorses in 1997.
