Artist
Rahim Redcar is the moniker used, from 2022 onwards, by the French singer-songwriter born as Héloïse Adélaïde Letissier. Letissier previously released music as Christine and the Queens, Chris, Redcar and Rahim C Redcar. These different monikers, the releases for which they have been used and the changes made by Letissier, have caused some confusion amongst fans. Letissier released his debut full-length album as Christine and the Queens, Chaleur humaine, in 2014. An English language version of the album, titled Christine and the Queens, was released in 2016. Sophomore album Chris, was released in September 2018 to universal acclaim. Following 2020's La vita nuova, the name under which Letissier's musical output came out started to shift: he used the name Chris for a while (notably for the stand-alone 2023 single, 'Stayin' Alive!'), before reverting to Redcar. The albums Redcar les adorables étoiles (prologue) (2022) and HOPECORE (2024) are, as of October 2024, listed on streaming platforms as albums by Rahim Redcar, but some of the music was previously listed under Rahim C Redcar, adding to the fans' confusion.
