Rahel Mueller, born in 2001 in Switzerland’s canton Aargau, has been immersed in music from an early age. She wrote her first songs at five and picked up the acoustic guitar at eight, quickly developing a strong sense of melody and songwriting. At 11, she joined the Bluesfestival Baden’s youth promotion program, where she received coaching in songwriting and vocals. Over the next four years, she contributed to four full-length albums with the program’s project band and released her first solo EP, The Storm. Her music started gaining attention early on, leading to a first-place win at New Zealand’s Smokefree Rockquest with her song Running. At 18, she completed her high school diploma with a focus on music, self-producing her EP Wires. Under the guidance of ECHO award winner Max Frankl, a project band was formed to perform her songs. Since then, Rahel has played well over 100 live shows, including opening for The Comets (Bill Haley’s legendary band) and performing on the main stage of Badenfahrt Festival. In 2023, she won the BandX-nordwest contest with her band Mollusca, where she is active as a songwriter, vocalist, and band leader. She is also the lead singer of Helium Moth and regularly collaborates as a bassist and session musician, having played for bands like ok average and FINREY.
