Rae Sremmurd is an American hip hop duo consisting of brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, both from Tupelo, Mississippi. The group’s name is derived from “Ear Drummers” spelled backwards. In 2013, they became the first act signed to EarDrummers Records, a label founded by record producer Mike Will Made It and distributed through Interscope Records. The duo gained mainstream recognition in 2014 with the singles "No Flex Zone", "No Type", and "Throw Sum Mo", the latter featuring Nicki Minaj and Young Thug. Each of these singles achieved triple platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America and reached the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100. These releases supported their debut studio album, "SremmLife" (2015), which was certified double platinum. In 2016, Rae Sremmurd released the single "Black Beatles", featuring Gucci Mane, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and preceded their second studio album, "SremmLife 2" (2016), which continued their commercial success. That same year, the duo established their own imprint, SremmLife Crew Records. Their third studio release, "SR3MM" (2018), was issued as a triple album and peaked at number six on the Billboard 200. Their fourth studio album, "Sremm 4 Life" (2023), reached number 28 on the same chart. Following this period, Swae Lee increasingly focused on his solo career, particularly after the release of the 2018 single "Sunflower" with Post Malone. Studio albums SremmLife (2015) SremmLife 2 (20
